My magical Mexican home in San Miguel de Allende.

Casita Martita is not just another rental thrown together for profit. Casita Martita is my home which I adore and delight in sharing. It is charming, pretty and wraps around you like a hug. Everything in it has been thoughtfully placed there for your enjoyment and comfort--as well as my own.

Just imagine: Your taxi will stop at Zacateros 77, in front of “The Blue Doors”. Only a quarter block from the Instituto Allende.

You’ll enter, leaving the busy-ness of the Mexican street behind you. You will be captivated by the rich tangle of garden, trees and lawn and immediately calmed by the tranquility. You’ll walk through flowers, butterflies and birdsong, passing a sparkling turquoise jewel of a swimming pool, to the glass door of Casita Martita. Opening it, stepping inside, you’ll look around and immediately feel right at home.

Living room, pretty and comfortable, has functional fireplace. Television with cable, lots of English-speaking channels and news networks. VCR and DVD.

Dining room, like being outside in the garden.
Light, airy, charming, round table seats six.

Kitchen, convenient and functional, has everything you’ll need: gas stove, refrigerator, coffeemaker, microwave, toaster oven and blender.

Half bath off the stairway, delightful and convenient.

Black marble stairway ascends to a lovely,
light foyer which leads to the two bedrooms and full bath.

Charming full bath, colorful and fun, tub, shower, plenty of hot water and thirsty towels.

Master bedroom looks out over the pool and garden, elegant with
oh-so-comfortable king bed with down comforter, cheval glass.

Second bedroom / office combo is the perfect place for writing, studying creating or putting up a guest. Comfortable double futon/sofa bed, desk, Vonage phone for free US and Canada calls, high speed internet hookup, CD and cassette player. It, too, looks out over the garden and pool.

Glorious garden full of flowers, butterflies
and birdsong and a beautiful little swimming pool.

Casita Martita is perfectly located--only four blocks from the main plaza (Jardin), within 100 yards of a grocery, deli, green-grocer, pharmacy, various good restaurants, ice cream parlor and video store.
